About the role
Our client is building the AI tech stack for law firms, replacing rote admin tasks—timekeeping, price prediction, business intelligence, etc.—currently costing them $80B/yr. We are currently working with 50+ law firms and are growing rapidly.
The Founding Engineer will work with the founders to build a category-defining product, continue scaling it to massive enterprises, and become a leader in the organization.
We’re looking for someone who is excited by this challenge and the impact we'll have if we do this right. We work every day, together, in person, because we understand that every minute counts in the early days of a startup. This is going to be intense early-stage startup work; the person we hire is expected to become a leader and help form the company’s vision and culture.
We're backed by YC, Bessemer, General Catalyst, 8VC and we're based in SF/NY.
Candidate requirements
- 4 - 10 years of experience years of experience in backend or full-stack engineering building products in a fast-paced startup environment
- Strong product sense, high ownership, and ability to operate autonomously
- Demonstrated experience in growing, building, and scaling the codebase of high-growth startup
- Excited to join an early-stage company and work in person
- CS degree from a top university (Ivy League, Stanford, MIT), and/or significant work experience at a top, hypergrowth startup
Nice-to-haves
- Experience building AI products
- Previous experience as a founder or founding engineer
The salary range is $120,000 - $160,000
