Senior Manager, Equipment and Facility Maintenance
The Senior Manager, Equipment and Facility Maintenance will be directly responsible for the operation and maintenance of Aeronautical Equipment and Facilities within the scope of SFOTEC. The Senior Manager will provide the Managing Director with reports, accomplishments, and issues related to the operation of the Terminal and Aeronautical Equipment. The Senior Manager will seek approval and authority from the Managing Director as necessary to proceed with specific actions concerning the management of the operation. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Responsibilities:
- Represent the Managing Director and SFOTEC leadership as necessary.
- Familiarity with the operative documents related to SFOTEC, including leases, contracts, agreements, and all other aspects of the Terminal Facilities.
- Develop and maintain internal and external relationships including, but not limited to the following parties:
- SFOTEC Executive Committee
- SFOTEC Member Airlines
- Non-Member Airlines
- SFOTEC Service Contractors
- SFO International Airport Authority (SFIAA)
- San Francisco Police Department (SFPD)
- FIS Agencies
- US Department of Homeland Security/Transportation Security Administration
- Federal Aviation Administration
- Provide leadership and direction to the contracted operation and maintenance personnel fostering a positive, high-performing work environment.
- Oversight of the operation and maintenance of consortium aeronautical equipment including all gate, security, and baggage systems.
- Management of SFOTEC contracted maintenance service providers. Monitor and track their performance against agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Prepare and submit regular reports to the Managing Director and Director, Strategy and Performance concerning the performance of the contracted maintenance provider against the agreed metrics (KPIs).
- Oversight of the installation, testing, acceptance, and operation of the SFOTEC aeronautical equipment.
- Prepare and update contingency plans and procedures in case of system outages or failures.
- Create and amend as necessary any training material and operational procedures for the SFOTEC equipment and systems.
- Oversight of the parts inventory list, ensuring compliance with all tracking and accountability requirements.
- Active involvement in the preparation of maintenance related Request for Proposal (RFP) packages and provider contracts.
- Review daily service and equipment report logs. Follow up on any equipment/system operation or maintenance related issues with concerned management of the contracted provider.
- Conduct regular audits and system assessments to ensure compliance with established service levels for performance, reliability, serviceability, and safety.
- Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement in the aeronautical equipment and systems.
- Complete the Annual Technology Report for SFIA. Coordinate with the Director, Strategy and Planning concerning investment required from SFIA to the equipment, systems, and facility.
- Other duties or responsibilities as assigned by the Managing Director.
