We’re searching for a visually-minded Associate Creative Director – Art Director. This person thinks conceptually, pushes boundaries, and has a proven track record of leading creative projects from ideation to execution.

The ideal candidate produces sharp, fun, and innovative work that gets people and clients talking. As part of Visa’s internal creative agency, Ad Hock, you’ll be joining a close-knit group that is growing fast and hungry for more. Roughly 25% of our efforts support Visa’s core brand, products, and sponsorships, including the NFL, FIFA, Olympics, and Formula 1. The other 75% is dedicated to supporting our partners and clients as an external creative agency.

Your day-to-day opportunities:
- Primarily support Visa’s 360 client marketing needs big and small, from social content to pitch work to TV commercials and stadium signage.
- Regular contact with internal marketing leads, designers, Art Directors, legal, and clients.
- Oversee the concepting of work and ensure it meets our high standards for creative excellence.
- Provide effective feedback to teams and stakeholders.
- Work directly with team of designers, art directors, and copywriters to oversee all elements of creative production, from deck creation, mocks and storyboards, to scripting, casting, post-production and everything in between.
- Help pitch and win new business.
- Champion diversity, equity, inclusion, and sustainability, and ensure that our creative work reflects our core values as a brand.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD.
Preferred Qualifications
- 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD.
- 8+ years of agency or in-house experience working with a wide range of clients and products.
- Has a portfolio with multiple examples of creative excellence.
- Able to confidently and effectively present to clients of all levels and persuade with a strong POV and voice.
- Strong understanding of design principles, color theory, typography, and visual storytelling.
- Has a collaborative, respectful work ethic and easy-going nature.
- You’re passionate about what you do and hold yourself to a high standard.
- You take your work seriously, but not necessarily yourself.
- You can work fast and be nimble under quick turn deadlines.
- You communicate openly and honestly.
- You value your work as much as your life outside of it.
- You own your mistakes and learn from them, taking constructive criticism and feedback with humility and grace.
- You make yourself readily available when needed and check your ego at the door.
Additional Information
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 118,500.00 to 171,750.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
