Job Summary
Responsible for the capture of new revenue opportunities within assigned relationship portfolio for the Scheller College of Business. Recognized revenue streams will include sponsored research funding, gifts, executive and professional education, utilization of university resources, licensing and other forms of revenue from corporate partners. Responsible for planning and implementing a coordinated program of revenue-generating business development activities. Use advanced relationship building skills to identify, cultivate, solicit and steward significant corporate relationships and investments.
Responsibilities
- Perform corporate relationship management for the benefit of students, faculty, staff and community stakeholders, and partners.
- Achieve revenue generation through sponsored research funding, gifts, executive and professional education, utilization of university resources, licensing and other forms of revenue from corporate partners.
- Participate in the development and implementation of programs which identify current corporate prospects for research funding, philanthropic support, sponsorships, and other forms of corporate investment and revenue generation at Georgia Tech.
- Serve as a resource for unit and central development personnel and Institute leadership in matters related to corporate support and investment.
- Establish and maintain a high degree of communication, collaboration, and coordination with campus partners and stakeholders related to assigned portfolio.
- Submit timely contact reports, prospect plans, solicitations, and opportunities into the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tracking system.
- Coordinate the development, maintenance, and delivery of executive briefings on portfolio clients to senior leadership, including the President, Executive Vice Presidents, Senior Vice Presidents, and college Deans.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Educational Requirements
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Experience
Five to seven years job related experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Educational Qualifications
Master’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Experience
Corporate engagement experience in a university environment and/or relevant experience in sales, marketing, and relationship management or other related fields.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
KNOWLEDGE
Previous experience with issues related to university-industry engagement including sponsored research agreements, gifts agreements, and intellectual property.
SKILLS
Basic knowledge of corporate relationship development approaches, interpersonal skills, ethical standards, and good judgement. Excellent skills in building long-term relationships, persuasive written and verbal communications skills, prioritizing, negotiating, influencing, strategic planning, project management, program administration and organization, as well as self-motivation, ability to work independently and as a team member, and capacity for multi-tasking.
Other Information
This is a supervisory position. This position does not have any financial responsibilities. This position will not be required to drive. This role is not considered a position of trust. This position does not require a purchasing card (P-Card). This position may travel 25% – 49% of the time. This position does not require security clearance.

Pay Range
$102,088.00 – $138,840.00, salary will be commensurate with experience and education.
