Job Description
Analog and Connectivity Business Unit (A&C) is looking for a Director of Test Engineering to join our team to drive the test development of state-of-the-art products in the Connectivity Business unit. This is a unique and exciting opportunity to work with a cross-functional team. As a Director of Test Engineering, you will be responsible for managing a team of test engineers developing mixed signal related ATE test solutions. The team will own delivering ATE characterization, qualification test solutions, sample test solutions on time and at the cost targets. This leadership role will drive test strategy for the business and will scale and develop the team to grow and deliver world class test solutions. Evaluate resource needs and contribute to the business strategy from a test perspective. This position will mentor and develop key test leaders in your organization and work with company and external partners to support the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- 15+ years of experience working with Automated Test Systems (ATE); Microflex & Advantest 93K preferred.
- Experience in programming such as C++, basic, Perl, python, etc.
- Experience in testing and collecting data on IC chips or circuits using standard tools such as Oscilloscopes, Multimeters, Spectrum Analyzers, etc.
- Proficient with ATE analog, digital instruments, PCB layout parasitic reduction, and strong debug/troubleshooting experience.
- Hands-on experience in debugging analog products with serial bus interfaces.
- Experience with test hardware and test program development.
- Travel 0-10%.
Qualifications:
- Strong project management skills.
- Proven record of leading teams to high performance in test development for power and mixed signal ICs.
- Ability to set priority and propose the best test strategies considering development efficiency and test cost.
- Develop and mentor test managers.
- Ability to collect technical information and organize/present them as needed.
- Excellent communication and organization skills.
- Align manufacturing strategies with internal and external partners.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or greater in Electrical/Computer engineering or Computer science.
Additional Information:
The expected annual pay range for this position is $199,000- $250,000. This position is also eligible for bonus opportunities. Please note that final offer amount will be dependent on geographic location, applicable experience, and skillset of the candidate.
