We are seeking an exceptional Gastroenterology APP Physician to join our distinguished Gastroenterology department. Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care: Perform comprehensive evaluations and manage treatment plans for patients with gastrointestinal conditions such as IBD, liver disease, and gastrointestinal cancers.
- Collaboration: Work closely with gastroenterologists, surgeons, and other specialists to coordinate care and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Procedures: Assist in and, where appropriate, perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures including endoscopies, biopsies, and other gastroenterological interventions.
- Education: Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding diagnosis, treatment options, and lifestyle modifications to enhance their overall health and well-being.
- Research and Development: Engage in clinical research, contribute to the development of new protocols, and stay abreast of advancements in gastroenterology to continually improve patient care.
- Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ensure adherence to best practices and hospital protocols.
Qualifications:
- Education: Advanced practice degree (Master’s or Doctorate) in Physician Assistant Studies or Nurse Practitioner program with a focus in gastroenterology or related field.
- Certification: Board certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C). Certification or significant experience in gastroenterology preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in gastroenterology or a related field is highly desirable.
- Skills: Strong clinical skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment. Excellent communication skills and a commitment to patient-centered care.
