Job Description
Issuing Solutions is a high-growth, multi-billion-dollar business unit within Visa's Value-Added Services (VAS) organization. Our group is responsible for building & commercializing products that improve issuer processing and cardholder experiences.
Position Summary
The Senior Director for Strategy and Operations will be responsible for building, implementing, and managing all of Issuing Solution's business operations (e.g.: QBRs, Portfolio Planning, OKRs). This individual will also work closely with senior product leaders to assess industry trends, market entry, product enhancements, M&A opportunities, and commercialization strategies.
This is a critical position reporting to the Head of Issuing Solutions Strategy, Analytics, and Operations. This role requires strong client-management, structured problem solving, project management, and communication. This individual will be expected to lead large cross-functional engagements, handle multiple projects at the same time, manage a team, and present to senior audiences.
Responsibilities
- Lead all of Issuing Solution's business rhythms (e.g.: QBRs, OKRs, and portfolio planning).
- Develop scalable engagement models with other cross-functional leaders (e.g.: Tech, Sales, Regional teams) and act as the primary point of contact for teams outside of Issuing Solutions.
- Hire, manage, and mentor a team of other Business Operations and/or Strategy FTEs.
- Support ongoing performance monitoring and business management of P&L.
- As needed, lead strategic projects (e.g.: new market opportunities, product strategy, M&A, and GTM plans) with senior leaders within the Issuing Solutions organization.
Qualifications
Basic
- You have 10-12 or more years of experience in Corporate Strategy, Business Operations, or Management Consulting with a Bachelor's Degree.
Preferred
- You have 12 or more years of work experience in Corporate Strategy/ Business Operations, or Management Consulting - with a Bachelor's Degree/ Master's preferred.
- You have excellent strong structured problem solving & communication skills.
- Excellent project management skills and experience with influencing without authority in a large cross-functional team environment.
- Self-starter who is comfortable in ambiguous environments.
- Collaborative spirit and a knack for understanding and communicating stakeholder needs.
- Strong attention to detail and focus on articulating business minutiae and nuances in simple easy-to-understand ways.
- Previous client-servicing and people management experience preferred.
- Previous experience in financial services and/or payments preferred.
- Excellent analytical (qualitative and quantitative) acumen.
- Curious and inquisitive, with a strong desire to get beyond the 'what' and into the 'why'.
- Proactive and effective communicator, experienced in presenting information to all levels.
Additional Information
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 193,800 to 235,300 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
