Global Head of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I) who is a strategic leader to join us in our Talent & Company Reputation team based in our Atlanta, GA office.
About the roleThe Head of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I) has a critical impact on the creation and sustainability of a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace and culture that aligns with the company's values and business objectives, where everyone can participate and succeed, regardless of their background or identity.
It is a strategic leadership role in a matrix organization, responsible for accelerating the DE&I cultural transformation of UCB, and for shaping, driving, and overseeing the organization's DE&I strategic roadmap and initiatives. It necessitates strategic thinking as well as implementation abilities, highly based on influencing and role modeling.
Who you'll work withInternal & external stakeholders, from C-suite to all employee levels.
What you'll do- Be a strategic leader, develop, shape, and implement a comprehensive DE&I strategy aligned with the company's mission, vision, and values.
- Provide strategic guidance and leadership to the global DE&I team, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Talent, legal, and business units, to drive DE&I efforts across the organization.
- Guide and support the Talent team and all UCB Leaders to attract and retain a diverse and inclusive workforce, including underrepresented groups, through targeted recruitment strategies and partnerships.
- Continue to grow the Employee Resource Groups' (ERG) strategy at a global level and provide leadership and support to empower and strengthen our internal communities.
- Monitor and update company policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations related to diversity, equity, and inclusion in collaboration with Legal, Ethics, and Compliance departments.

- DE&I certification or equivalent experience
Preferred:- Proven experience in defining a DE&I strategy and implementing impactful diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives within a corporate environment, preferably within the pharmaceutical or related industry.
- Strong knowledge of DE&I best practices, applicable laws, and industry trends.
- Exceptional leadership and collaboration skills.
- Understanding and role modeling the multiple dimensions of diversity through your own background, experience, or thoughts.
- Demonstrating leadership in advocating for DE&I initiatives and influencing stakeholders to integrate DE&I into organizational strategy and culture.
