Purpose
Lahai Health is seeking a Dentist who aligns with the statement of faith to join the dental team as Lahai Health cares for those who are underserved in their local communities. The dentist will provide direct patient care, manage the clinic, and work to ensure that patients are connected to additional health care resources.
The Dentist will provide care at the fixed dental office in Lynnwood.
Hours: Full-time 4 days per week (M, T, T, F), or Part-time, Non-Exempt
Salary: $80-90 hourly, based on experience
Summary of Benefits: Lahai provides comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance to all exempt and non-exempt employees working more than 30 hours per week. Lahai offers a voluntary 401K retirement plan to all full/part-time employees who are 21 years of age and older who are eligible to participate. PTO is accrued at a rate of .057 per hour for employees working over 20 hours per week and .025 for employees working less than 20 hours per week. Lahai recognizes 11 paid holidays and holiday pay is pro-rated based on the number of hours you are regularly scheduled to work.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide Direct Patient Care: Must be proficient in all aspects of general dentistry to serve patients.
- Diagnosis and Treatment Planning
- Removable Prosthesis
- Fixed Prosthesis
- Oral Hygiene and Periodontics
Engage in a Mission-Focused Team:
- Maintain strong collaboration and communication through managing the dental team.
- Promote and maintain a safe and professional environment in which to serve patients.
- Provide constructive input to clinical administrative team members.
- Provide overall leadership to Lahai dental team to live out mission.
- Maintain regular supervisory meetings with individual staff and team to review work.
- Develop and implement dental procedures.
- Partner with the volunteer manager to recruit volunteers to help carry out activities that support the dental program and supervise volunteers responsible for these tasks.
- Welcome all volunteers scheduled in the dental clinic each shift.
- Offer clinical support as needed to volunteer providers.
- Share the work and mission of the Lahai Dental Clinic with others.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduation from an accredited dental school.
- Unrestricted license to practice dentistry in the State of Washington.
- Washington DEA registration.
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience preferred or GPR/AEGD completion.
PROFICIENCIES:
- Knowledge of public health principles and practices preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills required.
- Professional malpractice insurance obtainable.
ABILITIES:
- Passion for serving the underserved.
- Flexibility in prioritizing department needs.
- Work collaboratively with others.
- Maintain current knowledge regarding best practices as well as standards of dental care.
- Maintain current knowledge in all professional dental legal requirements and obligations based on local, state, and federal regulations and laws.
- Local travel, as needed.
In carrying out these duties, the Managing Dentist will, at all times:

- Comply with federal and state regulations,
- Follow board policies and directives,
- Keep the Executive Director apprised of critical issues.
