Overview
IDG’s Transformation Business Operations team is seeking a Director, Process Transformation who is responsible for collaborating with the VP, Transformation to drive strategic initiatives and transformational projects aimed at improving operational efficiency, optimizing business processes, and ensuring long-term sustainability and growth of the organization. The Director, Process Transformation plays an important role in driving operational excellence and robust continuous improvement to ensure the organization remains competitive and adaptable in a rapidly evolving business environment.

This position can be 100% remote in a US approved location, or a hybrid role with the preferred location of Needham, MA.

Responsibilities
- Partner with the VP to design and develop a process transformation strategy and roadmap; help design and drive the transformation agenda
- Assist with the design, development, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of continuous improvement initiatives across the organization
- Oversee and/or lead process and continuous improvement projects, including the design, development and execution of workshops
- Expert facilitator in continuous improvement; creates an environment that leads to the identification of current state processes and baseline performance, brainstorming ideas for improvement and is ultimately able to work with participants to create recommendations to improve efficiency and effectiveness
- Provide program and project management, operational excellence/continuous/process improvement, and management consulting to ensure project agendas are completed on time, within budget, and in alignment with strategic goals
- Collaborate with various departments, business units, and senior leaders to identify opportunities for improvement
- Identify and leverage emerging technologies and innovation to enhance business processes, reduce costs, and improve customer experience
- Regularly report on the status and impact of initiatives to the executive team and stakeholders
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with projects and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and encourage feedback and input from employees at all
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
- Minimum 10-12 years of process improvement experience encompassing facilitation, process mapping, identifying areas for improvement and creating prioritized recommendations for senior leadership
- Demonstrated experience in delivering continuous improvement plans for large scale transformational initiatives (e.g., technology, organizational)
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills
- In-depth knowledge of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Proven success where transformation initiatives are long lived/sustainable in the desired changes and impact
- Certification in or practical experience with Lean/Six Sigma/Agile
- Project management certification (e.g., PMP) may be beneficial
- Familiarity with project management approaches, tools, and phases of the project lifecycle
At IDG, we are committed to fair and equitable pay practices. We pay our employees equitably for their work, commensurate with their individual skills and experience. Salary range and additional compensation, including discretionary bonuses and incentive pay, are determined by a rigorous review process. This process considers the experience, education, certifications, and skills required for the specific role, equity with similarly situated employees, as well as employer-verified US region-specific market data provided by an independent 3rd party partner. The expected total annual compensation, depending on location and experience, is between $170,000 and $200,000 and is inclusive of base salary and variable compensation (if applicable).
