The Director, Information Technology leads adoption and development of technologies and processes roadmaps across the organization. Acts as a trusted advisor to ULS leadership in supporting delivery of Enterprise solutions to drive organizational KPIs - increase revenue, reduce costs, mitigate risks and improve efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Innovation – Own the applications and technology platforms as assigned, provide architecture, engineering and development expertise, tooling, capabilities, and mentorship for enabling reliable and secure application development.
- Product development and delivery - Define and own platform backlog based on the feature improvements from the product roadmap and user community feedback and lead the execution. Develop and own the applications and platform roadmap, in alignment with organizational goals and objectives. Define and prioritize feature improvements for enterprise capabilities as well as supporting specific portfolio/business unit needs.
- Strategy and Standards - Collaborate with Enterprise architects, Platform engineering, Infrastructure and Security teams in defining comprehensive enterprise vision, strategy, and execution plans.
- Governance - Define operating model through a center of enablement for governing and leading - internal and external - across the enterprise. Measure performance against established critical metrics and objectives to report and to drive compliance.
- Quality Assurance - Engage QA teams to define and implement automated test plans. Develop validation methodology.
- SRE/Support organization - Set up a platform support organization to lead product deployments and provide post deployment support. Find opportunities for automation of deployments and configurations across multiple environments.
- Manage the performance of direct reports by developing accountabilities, establishing performance objectives, providing career counseling, feedback, and guidance, and ensuring that all policies are understood and adhered to.
- Perform other duties as directed.
Minimum Requirements:
- University degree (equivalent to bachelor’s degree) in Computer Science, IT, or Engineering or a related discipline and preferably 10+ years experience in global IT leadership.
- Solid grasp of security considerations specific to applications and platforms, including data protection, encryption, communication with executive leadership.
- Experience leading strategic partners and vendors.
- Strong business acumen.
- Budget management, negotiation, and financial analysis skills.
- Very strong capabilities and experience working with senior executive leaders, adept at critical stakeholder management.
- Expert management abilities to guide direct reports and matrixed resources.
