DESCRIPTION:
The AVP, Financial Planning & Analysis is responsible for preparing and developing annual and long term budgets for GID’s four business lines and its corporate departments. This position will lead quarterly budget vs actual reporting and budget reforecasts, and is expected to coordinate with senior management to understand fluctuations and changes in the business. Looking for someone who is a self-starter, detail-oriented, and excels at problem solving and process improvement.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead annual budgeting process for the six corporate investment adviser entities.
- Prepare and maintain 5-Year budgets for each of GID’s 4 business lines.
- Prepare quarterly variance analysis reporting and budget reforecasts for each business line and each corporate department.
- Prepare cash flow forecasting across corporate entities and funds/properties in order to drive tax planning decisions.
- Perform ad hoc financial analysis for senior management.
- Point person for general ledger coding standards and maintaining chart of accounts and categorization discipline.
- Analyze and propose areas for improvement (savings, streamlined processes, automation, etc.).
- Lead implementation of FP&A reporting software.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, with at least 5-10 years of relevant FP&A experience. Experience with software such as Adaptive, Anaplan, or similar FP&A software is a plus.
