Summary of Role:
This position will be responsible for driving occupancy and revenue growth by generating qualified leads and fostering relationships with key referral sources in the San Jose, Berkeley, and Hayward markets. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of the senior living industry and a passion for enhancing the lives of seniors.
Duties and Responsibilities of the Position:
Lead Generation:
- Identify, target, and cultivate new business opportunities and partnerships within the local community, including healthcare providers, senior centers, and community organizations.
- Develop and implement strategies to generate a consistent flow of qualified leads for the senior living communities you support.
Business Development:
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key referral sources, such as physicians, hospitals, rehabilitation centers, and other senior care providers.
- Conduct presentations and meetings with potential referral partners to educate them about the community’s services and amenities.
- Maintain professional confidentiality.
Market Analysis:
- Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, competitor activities, and opportunities for growth in the target markets.
- Develop and execute a targeted lead generation plan that aligns with the community’s overall business objectives.
- Represent the communities at local events, networking functions, and community meetings to promote brand awareness and generate leads.
- Follow up on leads and referrals in a timely manner, ensuring a high conversion rate from inquiry to move-in.
- Attend and participate in in-service educational programs particularly those that relate to the psychosocial needs of the elderly, community resources, and admission requirements (Title XVIII and Title XIX).
- Conduct tours of the community and grounds for potential residents, families, outside community and representatives from placement agencies and organizations.
- Work closely with the internal sales and marketing teams to coordinate efforts and share insights on market trends and lead generation strategies.
- Provide feedback and reporting on sales activities, lead generation progress, and business development efforts.
- In conjunction with the community teams, plan and implement marketing events.
Reporting & Metrics:
- Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as lead generation volume, referral source activity, and occupancy rates.
- Analyze data to optimize sales strategies and improve overall performance.
- Assist with onboarding and sales training of new sales team members as needed within the area with a focus to lead generation and referral partnerships.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Experience: Proven success in a similar industry in a role beyond site level.
- Job Knowledge: Awareness of senior living community resources and needs, knowledge of related services available through the surrounding neighborhood, and awareness of the competition and their rates. CRM mastery and exceptional communication skills.
- Professional Membership: Preferred and encouraged to participate in outside community civic organizations and associations.
- Travel Requirement: Ability to travel to communities within the assigned areas.
- Other: Must work well with people including staff, residents, families, and outside community; communicate the services of the facility to prospective residents and the community; speak before large groups; be personable and friendly; ability to drive; conduct tours of the community and work independently.
