We are seeking a dynamic, results-oriented Vice President (VP) of Consumer Direct Lending to lead, grow, and optimize our consumer lending division. This role is critical in shaping the future of our lending operations through exceptional leadership, strategic growth initiatives, and innovation in both talent acquisition and technology. The VP will be responsible for recruiting top-tier loan officers, providing comprehensive coaching and training programs, developing strategies to leverage cutting-edge technology, driving both revenue growth and operational efficiency, and promoting affiliate businesses to enhance referral opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Team Development:
- Lead and inspire a high-performing team of loan officers to achieve and exceed sales goals.
- Cultivate a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee the development and execution of robust coaching and training programs to ensure loan officers remain at the forefront of industry trends and regulations.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to new and tenured loan officers, ensuring their continued growth and career development.
- Exhibit commitment to the GO Core Values and Mission Statement in leading teammates within Consumer Direct area and throughout the company.
- Recruitment Strategy & Execution:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive recruitment strategy focused on attracting both new and experienced loan officers, partnering with HR and Learning and Development areas of the business.
- Build a talent pipeline through partnerships, industry events, and networking to ensure the division is always equipped with top-tier talent.
- Collaborate with onboarding team to ensure a seamless integration of new hires into the organization.
- Sales Growth & Market Penetration:
- Lead the Consumer Direct Lending division to achieve aggressive growth targets in volume and market share.
- Develop and implement sales strategies tailored to the evolving needs of the mortgage industry and consumer behavior.
- Collaborate with marketing and product development teams to enhance lead generation and customer acquisition efforts.
- Ensure strategies are aligned to maximize revenue generation while managing profitability.
- Tech Strategy & Innovation:
- Drive the adoption of innovative technology solutions that enhance operational efficiency and improve the borrower experience.
- Collaborate with IT and product teams to integrate cutting-edge CRM and lead management tools to streamline processes and drive loan conversion rates.
- Champion the use of data analytics to provide insights for better decision-making and to optimize the sales process.
- P&L Management, Cost Reduction, & Revenue Optimization:
- Take ownership of the Consumer Direct Lending division's P&L, driving financial performance through effective cost management and revenue enhancement strategies.
- Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising service quality or growth.
- Work closely with finance and operations teams to regularly analyze performance metrics, identify inefficiencies, and implement solutions to reduce operational costs, achieve OKR's, and drive optimal pipeline performance.
- Set revenue targets, track progress, and develop action plans to meet or exceed financial objectives.
- Promote Affiliate Businesses & Drive Referrals:
- Actively promote and leverage the company's affiliate businesses, including title services, insurance, appraisal management, real estate brokerage, and other future affiliate ventures.
- Develop and execute strategies to increase referral business between lending operations and these affiliates.
- Collaborate with affiliate leadership to create mutually beneficial referral programs that drive cross-business revenue.
- Work closely with loan officers to educate and incentivize them on promoting affiliate services to borrowers, ensuring seamless customer experiences and maximizing profitability across all business lines.
- Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management:
- Ensure all lending operations adhere to regulatory guidelines and compliance standards.
- Work closely with legal and compliance teams to manage risk and maintain the highest level of integrity in lending practices.
- Cross-Departmental Collaboration:
- Partner with marketing, underwriting, processing, and servicing departments to create a seamless borrower journey.
- Act as a liaison between executive leadership and the lending team to ensure alignment on strategic objectives and company goals.
Qualifications:- Proven track record in a senior leadership role within the mortgage or financial services industry.
- Strong expertise in recruiting, developing, and retaining high-performing loan officers.
- Deep understanding of the consumer direct lending model and industry trends.
- Tech-savvy with experience leveraging technology to optimize sales, reduce costs, and improve operational efficiency.
- Strong financial acumen with experience in managing P&L and driving revenue growth.
- Expertise in affiliate businesses such as title, insurance, appraisal management, and real estate brokerage, with a proven ability to promote and drive referral traffic.
