MindPoint Group is seeking a Cybersecurity Director with a strong background in Cybersecurity for an exciting opportunity in Washington DC.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for planning, organizing, and executing all aspects of service line, schedule, cost, technical, and staffing performance and activities on major, complex contracts to ensure timely and quality delivery of services to the client
- Leads and directs management level employees and/or technical SME within the specified service area, while providing overall accountability for the assigned portfolio
- Interfaces with senior leaders on higher-level functional and/or technical issues, providing recommendations and solutions with full understanding of cross-organizational impact and needs
- Proposes, plans and pursues strategic goals for the year and determines what improvements are required and allocates resources and support
- Possesses the ability to manage their time and plan the most effective use of time and budget in the organization
- Provides the point of escalation for management level employees in the oversight and coordination with corporate operations (finance, contracts, recruiting, HR)
- Inspires, influences and leads management to optimum levels of performance, while delegating effectively amongst other managers in the service area
- Understands what should be prioritized and strategizes constructively with their managers to execute
- Be a positive change agent, both within and outside the service area; propagate our corporate culture throughout all staff
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or related field. Bachelor’s degree may be substituted with an additional 8 years of relevant functional experience
- Minimum fifteen (15) years of general experience and ten (10) years of managing federated cybersecurity programs in Cybersecurity
- State CFO Act agency/fed civ experience preferred
- Strong leadership, written and verbal communication, and analytic and problem-solving skills are required
- Ability to maintain flexibility in schedules and shift priorities as a result of operational priorities
- Strong experience with Microsoft Office and other program and project management tools and applications is required
Desired
- CISSP, CISM or CISA or similar certification is highly preferred
- Experience with business development, including proposal writing and reviewing, is highly preferred
- Agile experience and certifications are a plus
- ITIL certifications are a plus
- Other relevant IT certifications are a plus
