As part of the Leadership team, the Director of Connected Experiences is the thought leader around three key practice areas, Verizon’s Secure Intelligent Communications, Anywhere Workpace Solutions, and Digital CX Solutions. In this role, the Director leads a team of highly skilled managers and sales specialists to set the strategic direction for the practice areas along with managing the tactical day-to-day sales results. The Director will develop business solutions for customers while leading and managing all sales functions in the GE Americas segments they are aligned to with the goal of meeting and exceeding all business metrics/objectives, including revenue, sales, and SG&A.
The key strategic priority for the Director is to maximize revenue growth through the development, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of sales, marketing, service programs, and new logo growth initiatives. The successful candidate will be a passionate and proactive visionary in driving operational readiness and strategic business initiatives to exceed objectives. The candidate must have a proven successful track record with exceeding targets in our emerging technology space. The Director must be a strong leader, extremely well-organized, analytical, detail-oriented, and quality-minded. They must be able to identify process improvements in reporting, analytics, forecasting, and performance metrics.
The Director will:
- Align daily sales activity to the Verizon Credo
- Maintain accurate forecast metrics and reporting
- Direct, coach, and mentor sales leaders and teams to meet/exceed key performance metrics
- Measure effectiveness of sales leaders and team’s customer engagement, relationship development, and solution expertise
- Adopt and measure sales teams and opportunity funnels with Verizon Velocity Selling.
- Matrix manage all stakeholders, including Marketing and Product management, to align to consistent strategy and execution worldwide
- Partner closely with core sales leaders to identify, develop, and close additional opportunities at existing enterprise clients & work with each sales team to close large deals
- Identify all the key influencers and present the Verizon value proposition to executive-level clients
- Help sales teams Identify and overcome business and technical barriers to sale
- Deeply engage in deal creation, deal financials and deal execution strategies that will drive new logo growth.
- Build and retain strong relationships within partner ecosystem
You’ll need to have:
- Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience
- Six or more years of relevant work experience
- 6+ years sales experience with Enterprise Customers, with emphasis in Advanced Communications, SAAS, and/or IT space
- Proven ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment while balancing multiple highly complex cross-functional projects
- Ability to lead in a matrixed environment with multiple stakeholders
- Track record of exceeding sales revenue
- Successful sales management experience leading a multi-departmental team setup to meet specific customer requirements
- Experience with solution selling to C-level Executives in the Fortune 500 and Global market, with emphasis on digital technologies and advanced voice communications.
- Strong business acumen and business financial analysis skills
- Excellent project management, team leadership, and interpersonal skills; knowledge of corporate business strategy, Wireline/Wireless technology, market, and industry trends
- Previous experience working directly with senior executives

- Ability to coach, mentor, and train others within Verizon and have the ability to educate key stakeholders on the benefits of a proposed approach
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and ensure cohesive efforts toward a shared goal
- Public speaking and market presence
- Presentation skills for executive level management, public groups, etc.
- Self-motivated, resilient, can-do attitude to overcome obstacles and find resolution in sometimes difficult conditions
- Working extensively with partners both internal and external to Verizon in order to deliver solutions to customers
- Proven ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment while balancing multiple highly complex cross-functional projects
- Ability to travel

If you are hired into a California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Maryland, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, Washington or Washington, D.C. work location, the compensation range for this position is between $143,000.00 and $289,000.00 annually based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is a commission based position with the potential to earn more. For part time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
