Position Overview:
Freddie Mac’s Investments & Capital Markets Division is currently seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer who enjoys data and building data storage platforms from ground up using microservices architecture. The ideal candidate has a passion for data analysis, technology and helping people use the technology to transform their business processes and analytics.

Your Impact:
Design and develop new code and review existing code changes to ensure standard technology development practices are met. Lead the day-to-day operational execution of software solutions to assist with the monitoring and control of market and credit risks. Assist with application development and modifying and/or maintaining applications. Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of development tools and languages. Assist other areas of financial research and engineering when defining requirements for systems applications. Provides resolutions to an extensive range of complicated problems. Solutions are innovative, thorough, and practicable. Works under limited direction. Independently determines and develops approach to solutions. Work is evaluated upon completion for adequacy in satisfying objectives. Represents the organization as the principal customer contact on contracts and often performs project leadership role. Interacts with senior customer personnel on significant technical matters frequently requiring coordination across organizational lines.
Qualifications:
- College Degree or equivalent experience; advanced studies/degree preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field preferred
- 5 - 7 years of relevant professional experience
- 4+ years of Angular UI/Typescript development experience
- 4+ years of Java software development experience, strong understanding in Java language, java 8 + standard library
- Familiarity with Spring and Spring boot Frameworks
- Familiarity with version control (e.g. GitHub, GitLab)
- Familiarity with relational database and Object-Relational mapping frameworks
- Ability to understand and write code documentation that conveys your solution to others
- Ability to trouble shoot and optimize application for security and responsiveness
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to partner optimally
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Being a self-starter, quick learner, diligent.
- Experience with Agile and Scrum development methodologies
- Understanding of application performance diagnostics and analytical tools
- Knowledge of automated test frameworks

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $122,000 - $182,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
