What you will be doing
The Central Fill (CF) General Manager will have the opportunity to work both in the healthcare industry as well as in a technology field dealing with high-tech machines. The General Manager is responsible for all aspects of creating and maintaining a new, highly efficient, and productive CF Pharmacy location. Focus will be on production line management, customer experience, team building & development, staffing, policies & procedures, and compliance, as well as continuously improving KPIs to meet financial goals. The General Manager would oversee a team that is comprised of pharmacy, technical, production, and maintenance staff. The team works hand in hand with the Pharmacist in Charge (PIC), as well as with CF Vendors, product, and service delivery leaders to provide excellent services for both the end customer as well as our store partners.
The position will be based in Irving, TX.
Main responsibilities
People Leadership
- Responsible for ensuring superior morale and effective management of all team member programs.
- Translates business strategies into clear objectives for site members.
- Select, mentor, train, and manage on-site staff to optimize production processes.
- Develop and enhance team member engagement and empowerment, to foster problem-solving and accountability while supporting a diverse and inclusive workplace.
Regulatory Compliance
- Directs the efforts to ensure best in class service delivery and efficiency in alignment with Albertsons service and compliance goals.
- Work hand in hand with the PIC to ensure execution of best practices and compliance to all pertinent regulatory requirements.
Operational Excellence
- Manage the daily operations of the Central Fill Pharmacy, including continuously developing workflow process improvements that drive KPIs.
- Understand the goals and growth opportunities of the organization and translate them into actionable tasks.
- Continuously develop and maintain quality improvement programs to maintain the highest degree of efficiency. Develop projects, reports, strategies that support the goals of the site and organization.
- Monitor and continuously improve customer service performance, including prescription turnaround times, customer service quality and response times, and accuracy of the order.
- Identify new business opportunities and oversee implementation of new programs.
Strategic Partnership & Collaboration
- Establish and maintain constructive working relationships with other site leaders and business leaders across Albertsons.
- Partners with selective business entities within the Albertsons family of companies and Centralized Services teams to drive innovation and service optimization.
- Serve in a leadership role for oversight and other visits.

We believe the successful candidate has these qualifications and experience:
- Bachelor's Degree required. Master’s degree preferred.
- Licensed Pharmacist in TX preferred. Willing to obtain supplied state pharmacist licenses if needed.
- 5+ years track record of delivering projects/objectives on time and within budget.
- 2+ years leading a large team; Strong leadership skills.
- Process systems experience, e.g. Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen.
- Mail order and central fill pharmacy experience preferred.
- Knowledge of pharmacy systems and systems integration.
- Experience in handling software and hardware in a warehouse environment.
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time to visit remote operations, business partners, and the General Office as needed.
