As a Senior Project Manager, you will:
Provide Project Leadership
- Provide project leadership in managing large complex aviation projects.
- Lead all phases of the project process with a high level of proficiency and expertise, while adhering to firm and project goals and standards of excellence in design, execution, and living design.
- Full responsibility for managing all aspects of projects to ensure efficient execution within scope and budget.
- Manage project teams, foster collaboration, demonstrate strong and effective communication and direction which inspires high team performance, creative design ideas, and successful project delivery.
- Lead effort in developing and validating project scope, fee, budget, services during the marketing and contract development process.
- Assist in contract negotiations.
- Develop project work plans.
- Accountable for complete and timely communication of project information to and from clients and project team.
- Responsible for managing projects using the Deltek Project Management system; complete work plans in Deltek, including identification of project team members, consultants, schedule for completion, fees, and costs.
- Understanding and experience in project change management, risk management, and ability to act on the assigned project.
- Work with Sr. Project Architect and design team to maintain schedule and budget in a manner profitable to the firm.
- Provide on-going communication through team meetings, minutes, and memos to project team.
- Monitor construction administration during the construction phase.
- Understand and respond to technical implications and design decisions.
Bring Management Expertise
- Oversee construction administration duties (e.g., RFI’s, RFP’s, change orders, etc.).
- Oversee applicable agency review analysis (accessibility, zoning, life-safety, etc.).
- Oversee budget, task schedule, and other components of the work plan with Sr. Project Architect.
- Direct, organize, and mentor junior staff with responsibility and oversight.
Maintain Positive Relationships with Clients and Consultants
- Communicate with clients, consultants, contractors, sub-consultants, and other disciplines to ensure effective communication.
- Participate in marketing efforts and may lead presentations to prospective clients.
Requirements
To join us, you should have:
- A professional degree in Architecture, Design, or related discipline.
- 13+ years of experience including aviation-specific experience.
- Ability to review and comment on 3D modeling, visualization, and graphic software, including Revit.
- LEED GA or AP accreditation within 6 months of hire.
- PMP designation is a plus.
- Licensure required.
- Understanding of terminal programming and planning.
- Experience in managing contracts for large complex aviation projects—experience on $200M construction valued projects is a plus.
- Understanding of airport and airline client relationships.
- Understanding of FAA rules and regulations.
- Experience delivering Design-Build projects is a plus.
- Ability to work at the project location and/or frequent travel is required.
