Ophthalmologist
Eye Physicians & Surgeons, a well-established and busy Ophthalmology practice with offices located in Pittsburgh and Wexford PA, is seeking a full-time Ophthalmologist (board-certified or board-eligible) to join our team. Our team includes two board-certified Ophthalmologists, two Optometrists, and technicians who perform a variety of ancillary testing and scribing. This practice utilizes an electronic health record. You will have privileges at a local academic medical center and surgery centers.
The ideal candidate is a motivated, compassionate doctor who can perform comprehensive eye exams, treat ocular disease, diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, and perform cataract surgery. This physician will commence practice seeing 35+ patients a day with a caseload of 200+ cataracts per year and grow from there. Refractive and/or glaucoma surgery is a definite opportunity. Subspecialist training in anterior segment, cornea, glaucoma, and medical retina is a plus. This is an outstanding opportunity with an established patient following in a thriving practice. This is a physician-owned private practice that is very patient-centered. We offer excellent work/life balance with office hours Monday – Friday with physicians usually out of the office before 5:00 pm.
Our practice is growing with new patient referrals regularly being seen. In addition, to the increased volume of patients entering the practice and needing care, we anticipate one of the two partners retiring within a few years and will need those established patients to receive care.
