The Enterprise Strategy Office (ESO) develops, implements, and drives enterprise strategy in support of our company, its customers, and shareholders. The scope of this group includes strategic program management, enterprise strategic planning, risk management, as well as strategic venture investments in healthcare as part of our Global Health Innovation fund. Together, we identify business critical challenges, create and evaluate options, and ensure effective implementation and cross-functional engagement.
Position Description:
The Director, Strategy Execution will work closely with senior sponsors and initiative leads across global marketing, market access, and other cross functional divisions to setup, initiate and refine and translate key enterprise strategy priorities to execution.
In designing and executing these initiatives, this role will work with senior sponsors to refine initiatives and capabilities. They will partner with operational leads to drive strategy execution that is needed for the creation and adoption of value and change. This role will foster a psychologically safe, diverse and inclusive environment by dot-matrix managing project teams and mentoring special assignment partners.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead the execution of commercially focused strategic initiatives aligned with our enterprise priorities.
- Leverage commercial know-how, expertise and network to lead priority initiatives, in collaboration with business leaders across the company.
- Support global/regional/local commercial teams by facilitating the adoption of innovative solutions and best practices.
- Contribute new ideas to our digital transformation program, bringing to bear experience in other areas and/or companies.
- Drive priority internal and external teams to progress critical enterprise initiatives from conception to implementation.
- Manage directly and indirectly, internal and external associates dedicate to our programs.
- Foster a culture of accountability and excellence in execution across the organization, driving results that support long-term business growth.
- Drive cultural engagement with diverse and inclusive teams.
- Lead special projects and assignments on ad-hoc basis.
- Work with diverse personalities and to collaborate with HQ functions, field functions, global COEs, strategic partners, and executive sponsors.
Position Qualifications:
Commute/Location:
- This role is based at our Headquarters site in Rahway, NJ (USA), with a Hybrid setup (combination of 3 days in-office & 2 days remote-offsite).
- This position cannot be 100% remote.
- For the right candidate, we may be able to offer some support for 'domestic' relocation.
Education:
- A minimum of a B.A./B.S. degree.
- Advanced degree (or equivalent experience) with demonstrated capability across diverse roles and functions.
Required Skills:
- A minimum of 10+ years of pharmaceutical experience across diverse roles, including a minimum of 5+ years of experience in commercial operations, global marketing, or market access functions.
- Strong program management and strategy execution skills with experience managing teams as well as external vendors preferably in a consulting or corporate transformation context.
- Experience in leading substantial transformational change initiatives with high degree of complexity.

Preferred:
- MBA, operations, consulting firm and/or multi-industry experience.
- Deep and diverse understanding of the pharmaceutical industry.
- The ability to take on greater responsibility in the organization over time.

U.S. Hybrid Work Model
Effective September 5, 2023, employees in office-based positions in the U.S. will be working a Hybrid work consisting of three total days on-site per week, generally Tuesday, Wednesday and either Monday or Thursday, although the specific days may vary by site or organization.
Expected US salary range: $164,800.00 - $259,400.00
Available benefits include: bonus eligibility, long term incentive if applicable, health care and other insurance benefits (for employee and family), retirement benefits, paid holidays, vacation, and sick days.
