We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Architect to join our team. The Senior Data Architect will play a critical role in designing and implementing data infrastructure. Your expertise in SQL Server query optimization and performance tuning will be instrumental in ensuring the efficiency and reliability of our data systems.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Lead the design and implementation of data architecture solutions using SQL Server.
- Develop and maintain data models, schemas, and structures to support efficient data storage, retrieval, and analysis.
- Design and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions for data manipulation and transformation.
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in database systems through the use of query plans.
- Collaborate with application developers to enhance query performance and database responsiveness.
- Ensure data integrity and consistency across the database environment.
- Implement data governance processes and frameworks to manage data quality, integrity, and security.
- Evaluate and recommend appropriate Azure services and technologies to meet the organization’s evolving data needs.
- Stay updated on emerging trends and best practices in data architecture, cloud computing, and Microsoft Azure technologies.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in data architecture, database design, and data modeling.
- Strong proficiency in C# programming language and SQL database development.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services, particularly Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake, and Azure Data Factory.
- Experience with data modeling tools and techniques, such as Erwin or SQL Server Data Tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Leadership experience, with the ability to lead and mentor a team of data professionals.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
- Experience with other database technologies (e.g., MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server)
- Knowledge of cloud-based database solutions (e.g., Amazon RDS, Azure SQL Databases).
- Certification in SQL Server or related technologies.
