Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Desktop Enterprise Architect to join our team in Herndon, VA.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Establish technical standards for desktop workstations, enforce desktop architectural standards, and identify areas for improvement.
- Participate in the overall architecture, design, installation, and integration of IT desktop standards throughout the enterprise across multiple operational and security domains.
- Provide technical guidance in determining the enterprise’s overall systems architecture with a focus on the end user device.
- Recommend strategies for building and maintaining the appropriate Information Technology (IT) infrastructure that supports customer mission goals.
- Establish and implement the customer’s architecture standards and solutions for a complex, global environment.
- Knowledge of new IT end user device technologies, ITIL based processes, and best practices, which include desktops, tablet, mobile, cloud architecture, networking, servers, storage, telephony, and virtualization.
- Analyze system requirements and end user needs to plan future development of integrated infrastructure systems.
- Develop and implement infrastructure security procedures throughout individual networks and infrastructure systems.
- Perform technical evaluations and proof-of-concepts.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field (Science, technology, engineering, and Mathematics (STEM)), IT-related disciplines preferred.
- 10+ years of diversified experience applying multiple infrastructure technologies and working in more than one area of infrastructure technology (e.g., desktop, network, servers, storage, etc.).
- One (1) cloud professional certification: AWS, MS Azure Cloud platform, or similar.
- Experience providing direction in system architecture and major infrastructure applications and processes for a large enterprise.
- Solid understanding of project management methodology fundamentals.
- Experience developing and building models based on the enterprise framework.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degrees and certifications are desired (e.g., MS, Security+, CISSP, CCIE, ITILv4).
- Deep understanding of Intelligence Community (IC) business and mission transformation and processes, and IC organizational structure.
Clearance Requirements:
TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.
Physical Requirements:
The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
