Associate Director - $130,000 to $150,000 per year, with potential flexibility based on experience

Terrific Associate Director/Director of Corporate Partnerships position with a unique public policy nonprofit that is immensely impactful in the legislative arena. This position will join the external relations team at a time of growth and tremendous fundraising potential. The Associate Director/Director is a new position that will be integral in designing, implementing and managing a comprehensive corporate fundraising program. The role will manage a portfolio of corporate partnerships and prospects ensuring an effective and successful moves management process. The Associate Director/Director will mentor and manage one direct report. Ideal candidates should have experience working within a public policy, academic, or other related organization. This position will be at the Director or Associate Director level based on experience. Candidates should have approximately 6-8+ years of related corporate partnerships and development experience. A demonstrated track record of soliciting and closing 5- and 6- figure corporate gifts and partnerships is required. The position operates on a hybrid schedule and is based in the Washington, D.C. area. The salary range at the Associate Director level is $130,000 to $150,000 per year, with potential flexibility based on experience. The salary at the Director level is $150,000 to $170,000 per year, with potential flexibility based on experience; great benefits.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the full lifecycle of corporate partnerships for a portfolio of 50-100 prospects
- Secure 5- and 6-figure gifts/awards from corporations
- Implement comprehensive strategies for corporate fundraising
- Identify new prospects and steward relationships with current partners
- Develop proposals for funding opportunities
- Oversee and manage all renewal appeals and other communications with corporate partners
- Collaborate with internal teams to build prospect pipelines and provide outreach
- Oversee a team member responsible for recording donor data in Salesforce
- Travel domestically, as needed
Qualifications:
- Approximately 6-8+ years of relevant development and corporate partnerships experience
- Experience working for a public policy, academic, or other related organization
- Highly organized and a strategic thinker
- Demonstrated track record of securing 5- and 6-figure gifts
- Excellent relationship building and interpersonal skills
- Results-oriented and a self starter
- Experience utilizing a donor CRM; Salesforce a plus
