We’re looking to hire a Data Analyst III for a Global online marketplace platform, a dynamic, inclusive culture, championing innovation and global commerce while empowering individuals and creating unparalleled economic opportunities.
You’ll join the Data Analyst team specializing in multi-payment processor integration, approval rate optimization, and platform scaling, leveraging data-driven insights to drive payment processing improvements and strategic initiatives through dashboard creation, A/B testing, and cross-functional collaboration. This is a 1-3 month opportunity. The role is located in San Jose, California and is Onsite.
Data Analyst III Responsibilities:
- Seasoned payments data analyst that is able to support payment processing platform initiatives focused on multi-payment processor integration, approval rate and cost optimization, platform scaling, and new product rollout.
- Use data-driven insights and partner with cross-functional stakeholders to identify gaps and opportunities in eBay's payment processing volumes.
- Support/lead data analysis via building dashboards tools and queries to generate insights and highlight important trends for the payments platform.
- Analyze data and understand industry trends and processing partner capabilities/gaps.
- Support experimentation and A/B testing and build detailed reporting to support payment platform optimization.
- The role will lead the management and execution of several strategic payment platform monitoring and data analysis initiatives to help prioritize focus for the product teams and identify any issues with product performance.
- Establish internal controls, alerting mechanisms, and procedures for accurate reporting for the payments processing volume.
- Leverage experience in payments/financial services industry to design and implement best-in-class practices for data reporting and management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders in defining and maintaining consistent Column/Field definitions across multiple dashboards and reports.
- Develop programs, methodologies, and files for analyzing and presenting data. Evaluate data quality, applications, and functions. Produce output and maintain operation.
- Research new data sources and analytical tools.
- Communicate regularly and effectively with team members and management and communicate results effectively to management and/or customers.
- Deliver data products in report/presentation format, or verbally, to management and/or customer specifications and timelines. Point out system or process problems when noticed and engage the team in problem solving. Facilitate satisfactory communication and resolution of problems.
Data Analyst III Required Skills:
- Background in Payments and Analytics - able to articulate data trends and performance metrics and pull/sort data from complex sources.
- Ability to run SQL and coding - deep knowledge with how to connect the dots and sort through existing SQL codes and suggest changes.
- Prior experience working in cross-functional teams.
