Position Profile
Weaver is looking for a strategic Cloud and Application Security Director to join our growing firm. The primary focus of this role will be expanding Weaver’s Advisory service offerings in the New York metropolitan area. We are looking for a client-facing leader to consult with clients on all aspects of their cybersecurity function, including:
- building and improving clients’ cybersecurity risk and control frameworks
- conducting risk and maturity assessments
- conducting cybersecurity readiness assessments
- ensuring clients are in compliance with all relevant regulations and standards
- advising on policy development, implementation, monitoring and changes
Beyond the technical client service aspects of this role, this person will also have the opportunity to represent Weaver in the market and will be responsible for developing new business for the firm. The right candidate will have an established network in NYC and will be motivated to work with Firm and local leaders to further our advisory services offerings in the NYC market.
To be successful in this role, the following qualifications are required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- 9+ years of experience in cybersecurity and risk assessment
- Thorough knowledge of cybersecurity regulations and industry practices including CCPA, GDPR, SOX, HIPAA, ISO27001, PCI DSS, CIS, NIST CSF, CMMC, FedRAMP and similar areas
- Strong understanding of the US regulatory compliance landscape as it pertains to cybersecurity and data privacy
- Excellent networking and business development skills including the ability to attract and service new clients and expand services to existing clients
- Proven ability to manage, mentor and develop a team
- Strong relationship management and practice development skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Additionally, the following qualifications are preferred:
- Master’s degree in a related field
- Industry certifications: CISSP, CISM, etc.
Estimated annual base pay range for New York: $200,000 - $300,000
Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and job level.
