Position: Senior Corporate Accounting Manager
Tripalink is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Corporate Accounting Manager to join our finance team. This role will oversee all aspects of corporate accounting, financial reporting, tax, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, exceptional analytical skills, experience in the property management industry, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting and Compliance:
- Oversee the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations, including tax and audit requirements.
- Manage the annual audit process, including liaising with external auditors and preparing necessary documentation.
- Accounting Operations:
- Supervise and manage the accounting team, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
- Build the revenue reconciliation and bill backs for the third-party property management agreement projects.
- Work closely with the Property Controller to create and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and controls to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records.
- Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded accurately and timely. Provide the regional and departmental monthly financials to the team.
- Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Collaborate with the FP&A team to support the annual budgeting process and provide ongoing forecasting and variance analysis.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Internal Controls and Process Improvement:
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the accuracy of financial information.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and lead initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the accounting function.
- Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to team members.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
- A minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
- At least 3 years of experience in real estate, property management, or a related industry.
- Proven ability to manage and develop a high-performing team.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems. Experience with Entrata, Yardi, and Quickbooks is a plus.
- Advanced Excel skills and the ability to analyze large volumes of data.
Compensation: $110,000 - $120,000 a year
