Head of School (HoS)
The Head of School (HoS) is the school's chief executive officer (CEO). The HoS is responsible for carrying out all aspects of the school's purposes, educational objectives, and policies, as established by the Board and as reflected in the bylaws, and developing internal policy in agreement with the school's philosophy, mission, values, and goals.
The school is committed to providing quality international Christian education in English. Education for the whole student based on a foundation of Biblical truth in an international and nurturing environment, developing students spiritually, academically, and culturally.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Masters in School Administration or Christian Leadership
- Meets ACSI certification requirements
- 2 years of administrative experience as Principal or Assistant Principal
- 3 years minimum of classroom experience
- Some level of proficiency in the Russian language is preferred, though not required
Job Responsibilities:
Spiritual Climate at School
- Model Christ-like behavior and attitudes
- Cultivate the spiritual health of the staff and students
- Ensure that the educational content and activities reflect a Biblical worldview and ethic
School and Educational Operations
- Assure the development of high-performance standards in educational achievement according to ACSI accreditation standards
- Ensure the creation and implementation of a comprehensive school development plan
- Ensure that order and discipline are maintained in accordance with school policy
- Responsible for ensuring excellence in student enrollment, admissions, and retention
School and Business Operations
- Presents the annual financial budget to the Board for approval
- Presents regular financial reports to the Board at the request of the Board
- Responsible for developing, using, and maintaining the school's facilities, equipment, property, and transportation
School Relationships
- Maintain visibility with the Board, faculty and staff, students, and parents
- Maintains an active presence in Board meetings and ongoing proceedings
- Provides regular HoS reports and keeps the Board informed
Faculty and Staff Employment
- Responsible for recruiting and hiring new faculty and staff
- Maintains accessibility to faculty and staff
- Assures that faculty and staff are committed to the school's philosophy, mission statement, and instructional goals
- Acts as the primary supervisor of faculty and staff care
