Graham School of Management and Saint Xavier University invites applications for a Tenure-Track Assistant Professor in Accounting, to begin on or about August 15, 2024. The position is based in Chicago, IL.
The selected candidate is expected to contribute toward advancing the Graham School of Management's mission and vision through teaching, service, and scholarship. The Graham School of Management strives to develop business leaders with personal, professional, and service excellence. Whether a learner pursues a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) or a Master of Business Administration (MBA), our AACSB-accredited business curriculum will help them develop human and practical skills that help them obtain meaningful employment. The selected candidate will teach a course load of four courses per semester in accounting courses at the undergraduate level or graduate level.

The successful candidate will be able to:
- Design and teach courses, in an inclusive manner, across a broad range of accounting courses at the undergraduate and graduate level.
- Work with minimum supervision, maintain effective communications with colleagues, and use initiative to identify and resolve problems.
- Participate in service opportunities at the School and University-level.
- Participate in shared governance activities.
- Perform scholarly activities sufficient to maintain Scholar Academic status under the Graham School’s guidelines.
Applicants for the position must hold a Ph.D. degree (or equivalent) in Accounting or a related field. ABD candidates who will earn their Ph.D. (or equivalent) by May 2025 are invited to apply. The preferred candidate will have a track record of excellence in teaching. Preference will be given to candidates with expertise in the following areas: accounting information systems, advanced accounting, and individual and corporate taxation.
