ASM, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for the General Manager of Food and Beverage for ASM Global Premier Food Services- Del Mar. This position is primarily responsible for maintaining effective client contact and for providing leadership to operational management in all areas of food and beverage operations.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities- Review, approve and monitor budgets, make recommendations regarding adjustments and alterations.
- Oversight of Food and Beverage sales projections and budgets for assigned accounts and events.
- Oversight of event operations to ensure client satisfaction.
- Develop and implement standards of operation throughout assigned facilities to ensure the highest level of quality service.
- Represent in new business development through the Senior Vice President of Sales.
- Direct the growth of assigned food and beverage accounts.
- Maintain liaison and work closely with ASM’s financial and other staff services.
- Maintains cost and quality control standards.
- Directs the development and administers the execution of operating and marketing financial plans.
- Provides for control of day-to-day operations.
- Provides final approval of all contracts and agreements with suppliers, promoters, and tenants.
- Oversees and advises Human Resources on staffing plans.
- Assures the administration of personnel and the operation of plant and facilities are conducted in accordance with regulations.
- Evaluates facility practices and recommends improvements.
- Responsible for recruiting, training, supervising, and evaluating staff.
- Establishes and maintains effective working relationships.
Supervisory ResponsibilitiesManages subordinate Directors and Managers who supervise employees in various departments. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; and addressing complaints.
QualificationsEducation and/or Experience- Bachelor's Degree from a four-year accredited college or university.
- Experience in contract negotiation, business law, purchasing procedures, and supervising personnel.
- Experience in labor relations and union contracts, if applicable.
