DESCRIPTION

Basic Purpose:
Provides analytical support to the Portfolio Management and trading team. Works with Portfolio Managers, Portfolio Analysts and Traders on the management and implementation of the portfolios across the US High Yield and Global High Yield businesses.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform portfolio management-related functions, including:
- Develop knowledge of all High Yield products, funds, and accounts.
- Ensure the Portfolio Management team’s views are properly implemented across the High Yield funds and client accounts.
- Monitor analyst sources/uses of cash and maintain database of recommendations.
- Monitor cash balances, allocations, and cash flows of various funds and accounts.
- Develop, generate, and interpret portfolio and attribution analysis reports.
- Develop a high level of understanding of account restrictions and compliance rules to optimize strategy implementation.
- Coordinate with and support Portfolio Managers, Analysts and Traders across offices and geographies.
- Maintain the accuracy of security modeling and analytics for all High Yield portfolios.
- Work with compliance, marketing, risk management, legal or other teams on any requests.
- Work closely with stakeholders on ad hoc data projects.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Skills:
- BA/BS degree; finance, accounting or quantitative background preferred.
- 3-10 Years of Investment work experience, especially fixed income related, a plus.
- Experienced user of Microsoft tools, including Excel, PowerPoint & Word.
- Strong attention to organization & details.
- Self-starter with an ability to work independently; problem-solving ability a must.
- Team player.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Impeccable integrity and trustworthiness.
- Familiarity with Aladdin’s Portfolio Management System a plus.
- Experience with databases a plus.
- Experience with coding a plus.
