ECS is seeking a Cybersecurity PMO Director to work in our Fairfax, VA office.
We are seeking a seasoned Cybersecurity PMO Director to lead a team of PMO professionals in supporting our Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) Division. In this role, you will be responsible for managing Program Managers, Project Managers, Customer Success Managers, Sr. Business Analysts, and PMO Admins. You will be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Project Portfolio Management, advising and supporting the Division Manager and aligning your PMO to the strategy and goals of the MSSP. Your focus will be on process improvement, automation, resource allocation, and team development to drive efficiencies and support our culture of collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership & Team Management: Lead and manage a team of PMO professionals, including Program Managers, Project Managers, Customer Success Managers, Sr. Business Analysts, and PMO Admins. Allocate resources effectively to ensure project and contract success, fostering a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.
- Project Portfolio Management: Act as the SME for Project Portfolio Management, supporting the Division Manager in all portfolio-related matters. Ensure alignment of the PMO to the strategic direction of the MSSP Division.
- Process Optimization & Automation: Analyze, design, and implement processes to improve automation and efficiency across the PMO. Continuously evaluate and enhance PMO processes to align with business goals.
- Onboarding & Offboarding: Support both employee and customer onboarding and offboarding, ensuring a seamless experience and adherence to organizational policies.
- Resource Allocation: Manage and allocate PMO resources to manage contracts, oversee projects, and support various business functions effectively.
- Invoice & Procurement Oversight: Oversee the approval of invoices for Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR). Manage procurement processes and track procurement items to ensure timely delivery and accuracy.
- Risk Management: Review escalated risks and issues from the team, analyze and prepare them for executive communication, and implement solutions to mitigate risks.
- ITSM Tool Development: Oversee the development and improvement of our ITSM tool, ensuring it aligns with PMO requirements and enhances operational efficiency.
- Quality Assurance: Create and execute quality checks for the PMO team. Implement continuous quality improvement initiatives to ensure high service standards.
- Career Development & Team Growth: Develop career plans and set goals for PMO team members, fostering professional growth and aligning individual performance with organizational objectives.
- Stakeholder & Customer Relationships: Help oversee PMO relationships with customers and internal stakeholders. Ensure strong communication and alignment between the PMO and clients.
- Event & Material Review: Review and provide recommendations on key event materials such as Quarterly Business Reviews, Project Kick-Offs, and Project Plans to ensure accuracy and alignment with goals.
- Lessons Learned & Knowledge Base: Manage the creation and maintenance of lessons learned and knowledge base articles to ensure continuous learning and improvement across the PMO.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, or related field (Master's preferred).
- Proven experience in leading a PMO or similar management role, particularly within cybersecurity or technology fields.
- Strong background in Project Portfolio Management and operational process improvement.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
- Experience in managing contract compliance, procurement, and business processes such as invoicing and onboarding/offboarding.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with a focus on process automation and efficiency improvements.
