TRAVEL REQUIRED: 0% - 25%
COMPENSATION: $108,840.00 to $215,700.00 base salary plus potential for variable compensation. Base pay is determined by your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Farm Credit Mid-America/Rural 1st may compensate outside of the salary range for bona fide reasons not related to membership in a protected class.
About Our Opportunity
Our Director Business Intelligence collaborates with key stakeholders across the organization to develop sustainable solutions that support data-driven decision making while acting as a champion for data and analytics services. This leader coordinates these activities as required with third party partner Banks or Associations, internal customers and external vendors.

- Achieving efficiencies through leadership of resource management, automating & improving legacy processes, monitoring of key infrastructure & delivery systems.
- Vendor management for Visualization tools, data exchange and other associated technologies
- Coordinate the release and user acceptance of projects pertaining to data integration, reports and dashboards
- Evangelize the adoption of a data & metrics driven approach amongst the user community
- Participate in Data Governance discussions and execute solutions for dictionaries and common business glossary
- Adjusting departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges with focus on the next two to four years' priorities
- Making decisions based on policies, procedures, business plan, resource availability and functional objectives
- Identifying opportunities for application of functional knowledge and existing methodologies to solve complex problems
- Applying acquired expertise to analyze and solve problems without clear precedent
- Working with business teams and technology teams to prioritize departmental projects enabling teams to work on the right projects
- Maintaining a full understanding of the market dynamics to enable the organization to keep pace with database, visualization and analytics technology advancements
- Coordinating with cross-functional leaders to make recommendations or solve problems
- Providing technical guidance to employees, colleagues and/or customers
- Mentor, coach and guide talent in Business Technology to build key competencies and a successful pipeline of talent in technology teams
- Strong collaboration across all technology and business teams and at all levels within the organization
Minimum Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in computer science, business or related field. Seven years’ experience in database management and/or Business Intelligence role(s) working with enterprise systems. Experience demonstrates progressively increasing responsibilities including managing teams of technical specialists. Background in Database Systems and technologies relating to Microsoft operating systems required.
