We are seeking a Ship Integration & Test (SI&T) Senior Installation Engineer joining our team to support the Program Executive Office for Integrated Warfare Systems (PEO IWS) activities. In this role you will be trusted to bring together a multi-disciplinary team that is geographically dispersed to provide engineering planning, design, integration, installation, and test of Aegis Combat Systems (ACS) onboard ships post-construction and during maintenance availabilities. You will document and provide design correction for discrepancies when discovered (and available).
This role can be located in either San Diego, CA, Norfolk, VA, Washington, DC, Chesapeake, VA or Cherry Hill, NJ. This role is contingent upon contract award.
What You Will Do
- Monitor equipment installation and manage installation and cable design change documentation.
- Liaison between shipbuilder and Combat System Executive Agent for equipment installation issues and problem resolution.
- Work with Aegis Test Teams to resolve equipment and cable installation issues. Identify lessons learned.
- Resolve fiber optic repair issues and work with Cable Technicians to facilitate repair and test of fiber optic cables.
- Ensure all installation deficiency issues are identified and documented.
- Assist shipyard in resolution of equipment installation issues.
- Liaison with Government shock team to identify and resolve shock related issues.
What You Must Have
- Strongly prefer a Bachelor of Arts or Science (BA/BS) in a relevant field and 10 years of experience as a Design Engineer/Integrator for large ships (or 15+ years of experience without a degree).
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of the larger Navy and Marine Corps Sector.
- A US DoD Secret security clearance is required.
- US Citizenship is required.
- 9 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or 4 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field.

Physical Requirements
Office, industrial or shipboard environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances during site surveys. Lifting and moving of materials not to exceed the guidelines set for one man lift. Must be able to perform site surveys and carry a laptop computer.
