Cream City Concepts is looking for an experienced and professional General Manager for our expanding locations.
Our ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with high volume bar and restaurant management experience. We are looking for someone who is able to get their hands dirty, step into any position when needed, and take ownership of the restaurant, which includes managing food and labor cost, light payroll duties, maintenance issues, scheduling, office work, and delegation of daily duties.
This person should be well-versed in developing and mentoring leadership staff through strong decision-making communication, care, and a strong desire to lead by example. The GM will be required to understand and step in when needed in the BOH and FOH. We are an expanding company, so we are looking for candidates that are looking to grow and expand with the company.
Responsibilities & Expectations:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the restaurant & bar.
- Liquor costing and ordering.
- Motivate and increase management's communication, both amongst one another and with lower-level staff members.
- Monitor & control labor costs through effective scheduling, training, and re-training as needed.
- Identify strengths and delegate tasks and projects to members of management and act as a facilitator to motivate and direct the work to ensure the job gets done efficiently and on time.
- Provide leadership at all levels of the organization.
- Communicate and embody the company vision and values.
- Build up the company by recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and mentoring new staff.
- Define standards and implement clear policies based on the Company's values and take disciplinary actions when policies are not abided by in a timely and professional manner.
- Problem-solving: analyze performances and advocate for changes to improve accountability, profitability, productivity, and positivity.
- Be a role model for the staff in delivering exceptional guest experience, able to deliver the same requirements that we ask of the staff.
- Work closely with our district manager, Head Chef, maintenance staff, other GMs in the company, and marketing and party planner.
- Allocate budget resources for supplies, equipment, marketing, and personnel.
- Ensure the restaurant is compliant with all safety regulations and health codes at all times.
- Past managerial experience is necessary.
