Customer Solutions Architect
We are seeking a Customer Solutions Architect (S2-G5) with a strong background in network, cloud, and security solutions to join our sales team located in Fort Lauderdale, FL. The successful individual will be instrumental in supporting all global sales activity from a technical perspective. This opportunity will cover both Pre Sales for New Business and Technical Account Management for our existing client portfolio.
The Role
As a Customer Solutions Architect, you will be responsible for:
- Understanding customers’ requirements and translating these into technical designs suited to their needs.
- RFI / RFP and Bid Proposal preparation and completion.
- Assessing, investigating and providing conclusion on suitability for all non-standard products and services for sales.
- Developing and maintaining comprehensive sales documentation, including Requirements gathering, Proposals, and Customer Service Order Forms (CSOF’s), which detail product and service agreements, pricing, and specific client requirements. Ensure all documents accurately reflect the bespoke solutions offered and comply with both company and industry standards.
- Playing an integral role in the sales process by preparing essential sales documents required for closing deals. This includes generating accurate and detailed proposals, contracts, and service agreements that are tailored to meet the unique needs of each client.
- Scrutinizing all sales documents for accuracy and completeness. Ensuring that technical specifications, pricing, and scope of work are clearly defined and aligned with client discussions and agreements.
- Working closely with sales, legal, and finance teams to ensure that all contractual terms negotiated are correctly captured in formal documents. Facilitate smooth communication between teams to address any discrepancies or custom requirements in documentation.
- Providing guidance and training to sales teams on the best practices for document preparation and management. Assist in developing templates and tools that streamline the documentation process. Meeting quarterly and annual objectives working in tandem with the Sales organization and revenue targets.
- Providing primary technical contact for account management for our existing client portfolio, building relationships and maintaining with regular engagement.
- Creating, updating and proposing new marketing and technical documentation material for website, presentations and event activities.
- Acting as primary liaison between operational and technical C8 teams and customer peer teams.
- Understanding and demonstrating C8 products and services, identifying unique differentiators.
- Keeping abreast of technical innovations, new products and services which may be of interest to Continent 8 and our customers.
- Assisting sales team in understanding or presenting and proposing Continent 8 services to customers and opportunities.
Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Experience Required:
- Minimum of 3 years in a comparable pre-sales / technical architect position supporting the sales cycle in hosting, networking and/or security solutions.
- Demonstrable technical background across a number of disciplines.
- Solid presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Possesses strong commercial awareness and communication skills.
- Proven track record of managing and winning technical solution proposals.
- Able to plan and prioritize work effectively to ensure collaboration and teamwork.
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work autonomously to a high level of efficiency and accuracy.
- Ability to build productive relationships to learn off others and develop yourself.
- Energy and drive to learn, progress and perform.

- Networking fundamentals and WAN and LAN Architectures.
- Co-Location (Rack / Power) awareness.
- Cloud Services – IaaS, NaaS, SaaS, PaaS.
- DDoS & WaaP service and methods awareness.
- Backup Solutions and methods, RTO & RPO.
- Managed / Professional services solution sales capability.
- Infrastructure fundamentals – hyperscale, virtual and bare-metal (Network, Compute, Storage).
- Software fundamentals - Operating Systems, Database Software, Hypervisor Software.
- Public Internet Service solutions, principles, and architectures (DB / App / Web / IP / DNS / CDN / Peering).
- MSSP Fundamentals (MDR / MSoC / SIEM / SOAR).
- VMWare / Nutanix deployment knowledge an advantage.
- Hyperscale architecture knowledge an advantage (accredited AWS).
