As a valued contributor to our team, you will collaborate with leadershipto develop strategies for loan acquisition that enables the group to meet management and regulatory goals. The candidate will understand the mortgage market, best execution / competitive patterns, and capital markets. The Director will provide verbal and written analysis to manage objectives, create new metrics when needed and aid the team in setting pricing and overall strategy. The position requires an individual who excels in a team environment and has a strong desire to develop / educate direct reports while collaborating with peers and management across the organization.
THE IMPACT YOU WILL MAKE
The Capital Markets - Market Transactions - Director role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside a team with shared objectives, accountability, and values so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities:
- Partner with management to drive process of monitoring markets and impact to overall strategy.
- Manage and develop a team that supports the Pricing and Sales Desk through various analytical and operational capacities.
- Review activities related to loan acquisitions and market data that impact Mission and ESG objectives, security performance, profitability, and market trends.
- Lead the effort to analyze information and provide feedback to the team and management.
- Perform and improve upon operational duties required to keep the desk functional and efficient.
- Develop and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders through active engagement and inspiring work.
- Lead and develop a team of high performing associates through market and mortgage knowledge and technical skill development.
THE EXPERIENCE YOU BRING TO THE TEAM
Minimum Required Experiences
- 8 years of relevant experience in:
- Mortgage Banking / Secondary Marketing / Fixed Income Transactions or Portfolio Management
- Strong comprehension of mortgage pipeline management, pricing / best execution, Whole Loan and MBS nuances.
- Proven history of managing competing objectives and leading a team to successfully meeting metrics.
- Relationship management, analysis / valuation skills, interpreting customer and market insights, quickly building consensus with a sense of urgency
- Ability to communicate complex topics in a manner that can be understood across all levels of management.
- Prioritizing business objectives while also efficiently balancing governance requirements.
- Technical skills related to querying large data sets via Tableau or other query tool(SQL, Python, R knowledge preferred), and a history of engaging in technical builds or development.
