Position Summary
The Solution Architect at Round Point works with business, other architect(s), developers, management, and other IT groups to understand and design technical solutions for business needs. The Solution Architect is ultimately responsible for providing analysis, design, and documentation for complex enterprise applications. This requires in-depth technical expertise across multiple platforms, operating systems, and tools, and of the entire enterprise landscape. Understanding various disciplines of business and technologies, such as web, directory services, directory synchronization, security, databases, networking, infrastructure, and application development is key.
The Solution Architect will report directly to the SVP Information Technology and will work closely with all business units in the company as well as the Data Management and Information Technology teams.
Primary Responsibilities
- Design, develop and implement new enterprise systems, enhancements, and new features to our products.
- Participate in the inception phase of application selection to evaluate applications for compatibility and appropriateness for RoundPoint.
- Provide ongoing system capacity planning for existing applications and determine opportunities for optimization of existing systems.
- Participate in the final phases of deploying and performance tuning of platforms and help identify performance bottlenecks and suggest workarounds.
- Provide technical and architectural documentation for existing business applications and ensure that this documentation remains up to date.
- Provide guidance on root cause analysis and feature design best practices.
- Develop standards and best practices.
- Perform technical design reviews.
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, or other technical field with 10 years of applicable experience in a mortgage technology environment. Additional years of relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
Experience working with multiple technical teams, architects, security officers, PMO, stakeholders, and vendors.
Experience with documented workloads, system dependencies, and business requirements.
Mapped workloads to the capabilities for public and hybrid clouds.
Experience with establishing business strategy and architecture at an enterprise level.
Deep knowledge of Microsoft Azure Cloud and .NET architecture as well as AWS.
Knowledge of C#, ASP.NET, ASP.NET Core.
Deep knowledge of MS-SQL.
Excellent written communication skills.
Strong understanding of SDLC.
10 years overall industry experience in application architecture, design, and development.
Must have extensive working experience with Mortgage industry technologies.
