Reporting to the Vice President of Sales, the Director of Sales is responsible for helping expand its sales organization. This position will focus on expanding Cofense’s market share in the region and will aggressively build pipeline and deliver revenue.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
- Exceed quarterly and annual revenue goals to continue our explosive growth.
- Primary focus will be on the development and closure of opportunities for the Cofense.com Software-as-a-Service solution.
- Secondary focus on developing and closing opportunities of additional product lines.
- You must have relationships with key decision-makers in information security departments across a variety of industries.
- The position will require regular travel, as well as the ability to represent our company at events.
- You must have the ability to manage Account Executives, with a focus on promoting their pipeline growth, forecast accuracy, quota attainment, and refining their messaging to potential customers.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
- Expertise in managing sales opportunities from prospect to closure.
- Must be a self-starter with a proven track record of exceeding quota.
- Ability to provide live and web-based demonstrations of the Cofense.com solutions, often without sales engineering support.
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
- Capability to present technical information to a variety of audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to forecast and manage information using SalesForce.com.
- Extensive contacts in the information security and/or security operations fields.
- Hands-on experience in providing information security services.
- General knowledge of security ecosystems (Endpoint, Data Protection, Risk & Compliance, Network Security & Incident Response).
- Ability to manage multiple high-priority tasks to successful completion.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, geographically dispersed organization.
- Ability to travel a minimum of 40%.
Education and/or Experience:
- Familiarity with Clari and MEDDIC Deal Management software.
- Have managed a team with 5 or more Senior Enterprise Sales people.
- Success in client engagement at the CISO and CIO level and managing those relationships.
- 4 Year Bachelor of Arts or Science Degree preferred.
- 4-6 years successful experience in sales of information security services and products.
- Experience developing opportunities from initial lead generation to product demonstrations and successful closure.
- Hands-on experience in social engineering testing and analysis.
- Experience as a presenter on information security topics at conferences and events.
