As the FIT Technical Lead you will be a hands-on, technically focused, providing consistent leadership in guiding teams through the Fabric onboarding process. This individual contributor role will require strong technical leadership and project management skills.

With increasing interest in Fabric (our in-house developed PaaS), we need a DevOps expert to guide and support the onboarding of the platform. Currently, FIT (Fabric Implementation Team) operates on an inner sourcing model, drawing temporarily from our ring-fenced DevOps teams. While this model provides flexibility, it leads to losing continuity and expertise in Fabric as engineers cycle in and out of the team. You will lead and mentor inner-sourced DevOps engineers on Fabric specifics.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor inner-sourced DevOps engineers on Fabric specifics
- Act as the primary point of contact for teams adopting Fabric, ensuring they receive the necessary support and guidance
- Oversee the technical aspects of onboarding projects, including planning, execution, and reporting
- Collaborate closely with the FabricOps Manager to align onboarding processes with the overall strategic goals of Fabric
- Apply and deliver all things DevOps related to team applications and services
- Lead and support the team in applying DevOps principles and practices
- Identify and implement CI/CD methodology and philosophies for existing and new applications and services
- Expand the team's knowledge on pipeline and fully automated processes
- Work closely with the development, QA, and product teams, ensuring a smooth integration and deployment of applications and services
- Write Infrastructure as Code
- Manage pipelines and deployments
- Evaluate, document and propose new solutions to advance the team, applications and services
- Expand the team's knowledge base on anything you may be a subject matter expert on
Required Experience For Consideration
- Bachelor Degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of development experience in any language
- Expert in developing infrastructure as code using Terraform
- Expert in automating Cloud-based applications and services
- Expert with continuous integration/continuous delivery - CI/CD
- Expert with Linux, containerization and container orchestration like Kubernetes
- Experience with one or more of Azure DevOps, Github Actions, Jenkins, Ansible, Chef and Puppet
- Experience working with development teams, translating requirements into designs and automated workflows
- Experience with shell scripting languages such as Python, Bash
- Experience leveraging containerization and container orchestration
- Experience with Database technologies to pull data (SQL/NoSQL and similar languages)
- Experience with basic networking and protocols
- Can pick up new technology and switch between tech stacks quickly
- Has advanced problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Has a “can do” attitude and works well in a team environment
- Has the ability to prioritize and organize work tasks for maximum efficiency
- Has the ability to document clear/precise instructions for process and procedures
- Has good verbal and written communication skills
- Is assertive and not afraid to speak up with their point of view and ideas
Preferred Experience
- Experience working on agile teams to deliver software iteratively
- Experience with Agile Lifecycle tools like Confluence and JIRA and or Azure DevOps
- Experience with designing and architecting applications
- Experience with logging, metrics and monitoring tools like DataDog and Splunk
- Experience with the fuel business and transaction processing
- Experience with Multi-cloud solutions - Azure, Google, Amazon
- Experience with different types of compliance (PCI, SOC, HIPAA)
- Cloud Certifications - AWS Architect preferred
The base pay range represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position. Actual pay rates will vary and will be based on various factors, such as your qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. Base pay is one component of WEX's total compensation package. Most sales positions are eligible for commission under the terms of an applicable plan. Non-sales roles are typically eligible for a quarterly or annual bonus based on their role and applicable plan. Salary Pay Range: $179,000.00 - $239,000.00
