CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking a Principal Architect to join our Commercial & Institutional - Architectural Team at our Colonie, NY, Fort Washington, PA, Portland, ME, or Boston, MA locations. This is a hybrid role.

At CHA, architects and engineers work together to create solutions that endure in the built environment.
The Principal Architect has broad knowledge of fundamentals in specialty areas and knowledge of principles and practices in related specialties. The Principal Architect plans, schedules, conducts, and coordinates detailed phases of complex projects. This individual is responsible for providing technical direction and leadership to the group. In addition, the Principal Architect will:
- Assist the group with project design and quality control
- Manage and coordinate with junior staff on all phases of design projects
- Mentor and train staff
- Support marketing and proposal efforts to obtain new work
- Demonstrate creativity, foresight, and solid architectural judgment in solving problems
- Assist in the development of company standard technical practices
- Ensure government regulations and zoning codes are followed and adhered to
- Prepare 2D & 3D presentations
- Travel as needed

REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture required; Master's degree preferred
- Registered Architect license required
- LEED accreditation is required
- A minimum of 20 years of Architecture experience
- Mastery of all necessary software programs
- Exceptional verbal, written, and graphic communication skills
- Extensive knowledge of detailed architectural design is required
- Extensive knowledge of building codes within various jurisdictions
- Ability to work and lead in a team environment
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
- Ability to conduct QA/QC reviews
- Exceptional organizational, time management, and multitasking skills
- Must possess technical acumen and the ability to troubleshoot on a variety of projects
SALARY RANGE:
$105,000 - $135,000
Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
