Recorded Future is looking to add a Senior Revenue Accountant to join the Accounting Team. This position will report to the Director of Revenue Accounting and contribute to the key operational needs of the business and support the month-end close process. You will also play a pivotal role in supporting the Finance Team to scale its workflows and implement best-in-class processes as we strive to keep pace with Recorded Future's growth path to a $500 million ARR company.
What you'll do as a Senior Revenue Accountant:
- Perform contract reviews, including analyzing the impact of changes related to pricing and performance obligations. Perform customer life and SSP/ fair value accounting analysis.
- Responsible to stay up-to-date on ASC 606 and related US GAAP authoritative literature and perform technical accounting research.
- Participate in month-end close activities, including preparing journal entries, performing balance sheet account reconciliations and flux analysis.
- Collaborate with Sales Ops, Deal Desk, and Legal to continuously improve upon the standard operating procedures, design, and internal controls of the financial accounting system in accordance with ASC 606.
- Act as the key resource in independently identifying and resolving revenue accounting, process, and sales related issues related to Company’s products, pricing, and non-routine revenue transactions.
- Collaborate and coordinate with business partners to support business initiatives, drive process improvements, and implement policies and best practices.
- Support the establishment of appropriate internal controls and implement new accounting policies and procedures.
- Assist the external audit firm with interim and year-end audit requests.
- Provide accounting support for special projects and ad-hoc reporting and analysis as necessary for business partners and other senior management stakeholders.
- Ad Hoc requests as needed.
What you'll bring as a Senior Revenue Accountant:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or related discipline.
- CPA preferred.
- 4+ years of professional experience, ideally a combination of public accounting firm and revenue accounting in the SaaS/Tech industry.
- Strong understanding of GAAP Accounting concepts, ASC 606.
- Some experience with Salesforce and Excel/Google Suite.
- Knowledge and experience with Netsuite a plus.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Ability to present and communicate data in a comprehensive and articulate manner.
