The Director of Structural Engineering for Commercial Buildings is responsible for overseeing the structural design and analysis of a variety of commercial building projects, including hotels, condominiums, multi-family homes, and single-family homes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structural engineering, with a willingness to teach and learn new techniques and approaches.
In this role, the Director will be responsible for leading a team of structural engineers, technicians, and drafters, providing guidance and direction as needed. They will work closely with clients, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure that all structural design work meets project requirements and is completed on time and within budget.
The Director will be expected to be on site as needed to ensure that all aspects of the structural design process are being handled effectively and efficiently. They will also be responsible for conducting site visits, reviewing project plans and drawings, and providing technical support as needed.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and be able to effectively communicate with team members and clients. They will also have a proven track record of successfully managing and completing complex structural engineering projects.

Minimum Requirements:
- Strong background in structural engineering, with a minimum of 10 years of experience
- Proven track record of successfully managing and completing complex structural engineering projects
- Ability to lead and manage a team of structural engineers, technicians, and drafters
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients and other stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to teach and mentor junior team members
- Experience with a variety of commercial building projects, including hotels, condominiums, multi-family homes, and single-family homes
- Proficiency with structural analysis software and tools
- Professional Structural Engineer (SE) licensure preferred
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Structural Engineering or a related field
