The Plastic Surgery Center is seeking a full-time Mergers and Acquisitions Analyst to support the team’s business activities throughout the cycle of deal execution including pipeline development, financial modeling, transaction due diligence, and legal document drafting.
The position reports to the VP of Mergers & Acquisitions and may interact with other operational business department leaders as well as staff of potential acquisition targets.
Responsibilities
- Conduct research and analysis in support of the initial screening and qualification of M&A candidates
- Create and manage target information request lists and track the delivery and digestion of the information
- Analyze operational and financial data (Income Statements, Balance Sheets, Bank Statements, Tax Statements, etc.) to create detailed, company-specific analysis
- Develop pro-forma financial models to support the assessment and underlying valuation of acquisition opportunities
- Perform due diligence, financial modeling, and analyses of quantitative, financial, and qualitative data in support of M&A activities
- Produce acquisition target overview presentation materials for executive review and decision making
- Collaborate with internal and external counsel to draft legal agreements, contracts, and other deal-related documents
- Organize key functional areas (HR, IT, legal, etc.) so that due diligence is performed thoroughly and effectively
- Work with cross-functional teams to analyze key issues and develop fact-based recommendations
- Assist in building and maintaining automated processes
- Document processes and maintain records
Requirements
- Highly analytical, detail oriented, and organized
- Strong understanding of finance and accounting including but not limited to financial statements, expenses vs. capitalization, return on investment, etc.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power Point
- Positive attitude, team player with strong interpersonal skills and flexible approach
- Strong desire to learn and continuously improve
- Evidence of stretch assignments that reflect superior performance in previous roles
- Ability to thrive and grow quickly in a fast-growing company
- Proven organizational and communication skills with strong follow-through and ability to meet tight deadlines
- Proven ability to work successfully in an ambiguous environment
