The Senior Analyst of Healthcare Analytics will serve a key role in analyzing company clinical, financial, and operational data to deliver optimal health care management and decision making.
You will work as part of a highly collaborative team, as well as with IT partners and key stakeholders from internal business units, using data to achieve needs and goals of SFHP members, providers, and management.
Please note that while SFHP supports a hybrid work environment, this role will be required to be onsite and in-office a minimum of 4 days per month.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Leverage your in-depth knowledge of managed care principals, applied statistics and analysis concepts, and health care data to support our critical business needs.
- Elicit and document business user requirements to drive agile development of reporting and analytic solutions.
- Develop visual storytelling that provides actionable insights and recommendations as well as allowing the business to view statistical outcomes, KPIs, and conduct self-service analytics.
- Develop innovative ideas and methods that drive continuous improvement in SFHP analytics.
- Create partnerships with internal customers to drive the adoption of data-driven decision-making.
- Support the development of data structures to drive accurate and efficient reporting and analytics.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
- Masters in Public Health (MPH) or similar degree with a strong working knowledge of statistics or data science
- 3-5 years of relevant work experience, ideally including experience in using health care administrative data sets.
- Familiarity with industry standard schemas (e.g. ICD-10 coding, NDCs, HCPCS)
- Experience in Medicare Advantage Plans, Star Ratings, or Risk Adjustment is desired
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to formulate and communicate data process and storytelling.
- Proficiency with relational databases and SQL queries including the use of JOINs,
- Proficiency with Python or R for data manipulation, and with its application to at least some of regression analysis, classification, time series or survival analysis.
- Experience with visual analysis to support reporting or storytelling.
