What’s the role?As the Financial/Business Analyst, reporting to the Senior Manager Corporate Controlling, you get to work with an astonishing team that plays a vital role in Carl Zeiss, Inc. Showcase your skills and experience with process enhancements by ensuring accurate and timely completion of monthly and annual results reporting. This position actively supports month-end close and budget activities, collaborating with various functional areas to provide high-quality analysis in alignment with the organization’s goals.
Sound Interesting?Here’s what you’ll do:Financial & Business Analytics:- Participate in standard financial processes, including month-end closing, budget development, and periodic forecast updates.
- Ensure accurate and timely delivery of standard and ad hoc reports; analyze performance measures and perform root cause analysis.
- Process data accurately using technical and financial knowledge to add value to the database.
- Collaborate with all departments in Business Service and Business Support.
- Support quarterly and annual Forecast and Budget processes.
Define and Create Business Reports:- Work with internal partners to define and create business reports using various data sources (e.g., SAP, Celonis, Workday, Management Reporting System, Concur) and tools (e.g., PowerBI).
- Drive development, testing, sign-off, documentation, roll-out, and training for reports.
Continuous Process Improvement:- Engage in ongoing process improvement activities to enhance efficiency.
Decision Support and Influence:- Provide analysis, insights, and guidance for designing, implementing, and measuring profitable business strategies.
- Conduct month-end and ongoing analysis of business performance, identifying process and cost improvements.
- Contribute to project work, including developing financial reporting tools and implementing process efficiencies.
Do you qualify?- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- 3+ years of analytical experience.
- Financial and business modeling, tool building, problem-solving, and analytical thinking.
- Self-driven, persuasive, independent, with attention to detail and follow-up.
White Plains, NY: The annual pay range for this position is $68,400 – $85,400.The pay offered for this role may be influenced by factors such as job location, scope of role, qualifications, and education.This position is also eligible for a performance bonus or sales commissions.
