Convera is seeking an experienced
Principal Product Marketing professional with an entrepreneurial mindset and a track record of success in bringing new products and industry solutions to market. The Principal, Product Marketing Manager will be focused on developing differentiated messaging, positioning, personas, and customer journey for a specific product line or industry solution. Reporting to the Global Director, Product Marketing & Industry Solutions, the Principal Product Marketing Manager serves as the subject matter expert and customer champion for a specific product line or vertical.
The Principal Product Marketing Manager partners closely with Product Management and Commercial teams to deliver programs to drive awareness, generate interest, and deliver growth for their portfolio of products or industry solutions.
You Will Be Responsible For:- Develop, own, and articulate differentiated value propositions, compelling benefits, customer outcomes, and the positioning for your portfolio of products or industry solutions.
- Serve as the expert on the market and customers for your product or industry portfolio including our prospect personas, market trends, opportunities, and challenges.
- Understand the competition for your portfolio at a granular level and how to position our solutions based on our differentiators. Conduct competitive and market research, develop ideal customer profiles, and conduct win/loss analysis.
- Lead go-to-market efforts for new product launches and marketing programs for your product or industry portfolio, including developing positioning, messaging, value propositions, and integrated marketing plans.
- Generate case studies, testimonials, customer videos, and other customer-driven marketing and sales assets for your product or industry portfolio.
- Collaborate with product management to understand the roadmap, new feature/offer plans, and proactively plan for new releases around your product or industry portfolio.
- Build sales enablement tools such as battlecards, pitch decks, one-pagers, etc., and support sales training efforts to educate them on Convera benefits and go-to-market strategy for your product or industry portfolio.
You should apply if you have:- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
- 7+ years of B2B product marketing experience with direct responsibility for positioning, messaging, solution packaging, and customer journey definition.
- Mastery of traditional product marketing techniques and best practices.
- Creative problem-solver with a growth mindset; actively and intuitively seeks ways to simplify processes and improve performance.
- Demonstrated sound business judgment and the ability to think strategically about a quickly growing business alongside the interest and ability to dive into tactical details.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use research, hard data, and metrics to challenge assumptions, generate credible forecasts, and solve problems.
- Comfortable with ambiguity - able to set strategic direction and execute effectively in a global, matrixed organization.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of owning and writing complex documents and presenting/influencing VP+ stakeholders.
