THE POSITION
As the Vice President of Medicare Marketing, you will be responsible for leading and growing our high visibility partner channel, working with your team to find new partnerships and manage existing partnerships. You’ll set the direction and develop our new partnerships acquisition and growth plan. You will report directly to the C-Suite and Senior Leadership of our organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build network of marketing sources capable of providing enough inbound calls for 150 Medicare Sales Agents in Q4 21, expanding to 500 over next couple years.
- Develop a team structure and employee roles required to produce over 200,000 inbound calls in 2021.
- Manage, lead, hire, and mentor a high octane productive team.
- Develop strategic and operational plans for the business development team.
- Identify opportunities and establish rapport with prospective business partners.
- Oversee outreach project strategy and targeting by reviewing strategy docs with Media Outreach Specialists.
- Develop recommendations regarding proposed advertising campaigns including media buys, collateral development, messaging, and other features.
- Develop an annual marketing and sales calendar for all Medicare focused and/or other products as applicable, to aid in strategy development and resource planning across the CFC enterprise.
- Create a customer relationship management approach using existing infrastructure and tools or through identification and engagement of additional tools in collaboration and with the approval of our partner integration teams, to track outreach attempts, “no thank you,” “do not contact,” and other requests in order to maintain a highly ethical and compliant sales organization.
- Negotiate and close deals.
- Work the details of a contract: you’re not (necessarily) an attorney, but you know what makes for a solid agreement, can assess points of risk and highlight when we need to bring in counsel.
- Work with your team to ensure that we’re providing amazing account management.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Has a thorough understanding, and relationships, in all performance marketing channels for Medicare: Search, Display/Social, Email, Direct Mail, Inbound Calls, TV, etc.
- Prior experience running a business development team needed. Top tier MBA a plus.
- You can identify many possible partnerships, prioritize them, and lead the team to go after them full steam.
- You love working with product, engineering, and other teams to make things happen.
- You’re a player-coach, leading by example for your team.
- Extremely competitive: you rejoice in stealing business from our competitors.
- You are unwilling to fail.
- Willing to travel for face-to-face meetings.
