The Dr. Charles P. Darby Jr. Department of Pediatrics Division of Pediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) is searching for a board-certified (or eligible) pediatric endocrinologist to join our well-established team. There are currently 6 pediatric endocrinologists, a nurse practitioner, a certified diabetes care and education specialist, dietician, and a dedicated social worker. We are actively involved in clinical research trials.

Job Description
The Dr. Charles P. Darby Jr. Department of Pediatrics Division of Pediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) is searching for a board-certified (or eligible) pediatric endocrinologist to join our well-established team. MUSC is the premier tertiary referral center and academic teaching hospital in South Carolina. The Shawn Jenkins Children’s Hospital is a 250-bed facility with a full range of pediatric medical and surgical subspecialties. Our Pediatric Residency Program includes 66 residents and 43 fellows in pediatrics. We are devoted to training the next generation of young physicians, delivering academically and clinically equipped leaders to the field of pediatrics.
Providers will be required to participate in the division call schedule.
Ideal Candidates:
- Board Certified or Eligible by the American Board Pediatrics in Pediatric Endocrinology
- Commitment to MUSC’s educational missions
- Eligible for licensure in South Carolina
- Strong interest in working with both typical as well as medically complex children
