AVP, AI Integration and Data Science, Group Segment. This leader will concept, co-create and deliver Artificial Intelligence (AI) use cases for the Group Segment.
Louisville, KY or Boston, MA are strongly preferred as the location for this position, but other locations will be considered on a case-by-case basis for exceptional candidates.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with each of the functional units to envision, build and prioritize data strategy and AI plans.
- Partner to create end-to-end AI solutions from conception to implementation, ensuring that they create expected business impact.
- Advance data culture and analytics productivity in respective organizations through adoption of Analytics Platform as a Service (APaaS). Ensure satisfaction of users in the unit and growth of usage. Sponsor, support and nurture a community of Data Stewards, Citizen Analysts and Citizen Data Scientists.
- Envision, prioritize and deliver advanced data science use cases and production grade models in the Machine Learning Platform (MLP).
- By leveraging assigned data governance professionals, formulate and advance Data Strategy to enhance scope and quality of data across Group Segment.
- Consult with executive stakeholders, with the ability to envision and influence unit-wide change that will yield strategy advancement, meaningful insights and actionable results.
- Ensure that our investments in APaaS and MLP result in tangible impact on customers' health and satisfaction and business performance that can be directly attributed to the use of AI.
- Own delivery of analytics, insights and ML to senior stakeholders in all business units with a responsibility for coaching and nurturing 'citizen analysts and citizen data scientists'.
- Lead the enterprise strategy for use of AI in Group Segment use cases as we progress our digital transformation to become a cloud-native health care company.
- Recruit, nurture and develop key data science and AI Implementation talent, and act as a mentor to a significant organization.
- Play a key role on Humana's Enterprise Data and Analytics leadership team, and participate and directly influence business-wide decision making and strategy formulation.
- Act as a senior member of respective stakeholders' leadership teams, representing the Enterprise Data & Analytics Organization (and often the larger Digital Health & Analytics Function).
Key Candidate Qualifications
- Strong and broad background in Machine Learning, analytics and data.
- Track record of success in delivery of measurable impact of AI ideally in clinical use cases in healthcare, including pharmacy.
- Experience with business and process transformation and driving technology adoption in clinical organizations.
- Strong leadership skills, culture shaper, talent builder, influencer and collaborator that must effectively engage senior leadership and the broad organization to execute towards common goals.
- Excellent executive presence and influence skills. Ability to act as a 'trusted advisor' and reverse mentor for most senior executives.
- Knowledge of modern cloud data technologies and architectures: Spark, Python, Power BI, Azure, DataBricks.
- Dual degrees in Computer Science, Business Operations, Predictive analytics, or related fields a plus. (PhD in one of the fields would be a valuable asset).
